P.O.D. Name New Album
May 21, 2003P.O.D. have reportedly set "Payable On Death" as the title for their forthcoming CD, due on Nov. 4 through Atlantic Records.
The upcoming album will be the group's first since the departure of guitarist Marcos Curiel, who has been replaced with former LIVING SACRIFICE axeman Jason Truby.
Producer Howard Benson (MOTÖRHEAD, COLD, REVEILLE, SEPULTURA) told fans at the P.O.D. web site, "There's a certain quiet confidence in this band right now. They really know who they are. It's a magical moment... The whole team here can feel it. This record is going to touch their listeners souls like only great career artists can do."
"We feel like we are giving birth to a whole new race," added Truby.
Benson had previously worked with the group on their last album, "Satellite", and their 1999 breakthrough LP, "The Fundamental Elements of Southtown".
After they finish recording, P.O.D. plan to do some club shows before their August 31 date at Colorado's Red Rocks, where they will share a bill with 50 CENT, KORN and THE DOORS 21ST CENTURY.
